What we collect
Only what you type into this site. The newsletter form asks for your email address. Volunteer forms ask for your name and email, and — if you choose to share them — your phone number, the events or shifts you’d like, how you’d like to help, notes, and your preferred language. Pledging to a need on our wish list asks for your name, email and what you’ll bring or do. Checking out (membership, donations, sponsorships, event wristbands) asks for your name and email; a membership also asks each member’s name, email and whether they’re a family member or school staff, because Texas PTA registers every member. Card details are typed into Square’s secure form, never into ours.
Why we collect it
To send your receipt and fill your order, register memberships with Texas PTA, confirm and remind you about volunteer shifts and pledges, and — only if you sign up or tick the box at checkout — email you PTA news and event reminders. Nothing else. You’ll only hear from the Veterans Hill Elementary PTA.
Who can see it
Members of our volunteer board who handle orders, membership, communications and volunteer scheduling, and our treasurer for the books. We use a few service providers to do it: Square processes payments and keeps the order record, our email provider sends receipts and newsletters and stores subscriptions, volunteer and pledge entries land in a private spreadsheet only the board can open, and the board gets a heads-up in our private Slack workspace when something new comes in. We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
Payments and outside links
Membership, donations, sponsorships and event wristbands are paid right here through Square: your card details go straight to Square and never reach the PTA or this website. We keep your name, email and what you bought to send your receipt and fill your order. Spirit wear is sold on Bonfire’s own site, and Bonfire’s privacy policy applies there.
Analytics and cookies
We use privacy-friendly traffic analytics that count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. We also use the Meta Pixel, which tells Facebook and Instagram when someone visits this site so we can see whether our posts and ads are reaching families — it uses cookies and shares your visit with Meta, under Meta’s privacy policy. You can block it with your browser’s tracking protection or an ad blocker; nothing on this site stops working if you do. Your saved language and light/dark preference are stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
Children
This website is written for parents, caregivers and local businesses, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. The only student detail we ever ask for is a student’s name and teacher, at checkout, when an order goes home with a student (like a T-shirt). Student names and photos are otherwise handled by the school and Hutto ISD under district policy, not through this site.
Your choices
Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to be removed from our lists or to ask what we have on file, and we’ll take care of it. Records of payments stay in Square and our treasurer’s books, which a nonprofit has to keep.
