Your information

Privacy policy

We’re parents, and we treat your information the way we’d want ours treated. Here’s exactly what this website collects and what happens to it.

Last updated: August 2026

What we collect

Only what you type into one of our two forms. The newsletter form collects your email address. The volunteer interest form collects your name, email, and — if you choose to share them — your phone number, the events you’re interested in, how you’d like to help, and your preferred language. We don’t ask for student information, addresses, or anything financial anywhere on this site.

Why we collect it

To email you PTA news and event reminders, and to contact you about volunteering. Nothing else. You’ll only hear from the Veterans Hill Elementary PTA.

Who can see it

Members of our volunteer board who run communications and volunteer scheduling. We use two service providers to do it: our email provider stores newsletter subscriptions, and volunteer form entries land in a private spreadsheet only the board can open. We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

Payments and outside links

We never handle payment details on this website. Membership, donations, sponsorships, and spirit wear all open a separate, secure site run by that provider — Texas PTA, Cheddar Up, or Bonfire — and their own privacy policies apply once you leave ours.

Analytics and cookies

We use privacy-friendly traffic analytics that count page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. We also use the Meta Pixel, which tells Facebook and Instagram when someone visits this site so we can see whether our posts and ads are reaching families — it uses cookies and shares your visit with Meta, under Meta’s privacy policy. You can block it with your browser’s tracking protection or an ad blocker; nothing on this site stops working if you do. Your saved language and light/dark preference are stored in your own browser and never sent to us.

Children

This website is written for parents and caregivers, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. Student names and photos are handled by the school and Hutto ISD under district policy, not through this site.

Your choices

Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us at any time to be removed from our lists or to ask what we have on file, and we’ll take care of it.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Questions about anything here? Email us — a real parent on our board will answer.
